BIOGRAPHY

 

Diana Avramova was born in Bulgaria where I followed my art education.

 

Since childhood I have been fascinated by drawing and painting which I have not let go of until now.

 

In my native country I have built up a strong base for portraiture.

 

After my wedding I moved to Belgium where I continued my passion for years at the Art Academy in Mechelen and successfully graduated in drawing, painting and art history.

 

After gaining experience over the years, I have developed my own painting style and participate in various watercolour competitions.

 

 

ARTIST STATEMENT

 

My passion is my life.

 

I’m fascinated by the inner feeling and emotions of people. Somehow I try to interpret and portray it.

 

For me, a photo is the starting point. On this basis I start to analyse and select what I want to bring forward. This process is the magical part of creating an artwork. It is usually there that the artist's artistic approach is seen.

 

During the painting process, instrumental music is present in the background, which gives me peace of mind and easy to pull off feelings.

 

Music inspires me enormously. It is very fascinating to interpret the feelings and expression of musicians in my paintings. Emotion and appearance.
