BIOGRAPHY

 

 

Yusif Katanov is visual artist based in Azerbaijan. He has graduated from the Art College (1994-1998) and then from the Art Academy (1998-2002) in Baku. He creates modern abstract and figurative paintings.

                                                                                              

Abstract compositions with difficult multilayered technique are exclusively various on richness of a palette and a combination of paints, differ in rich colorist search and a saturation of composition.

 

Idea of abstract uniform and color compliance are very harmonious in the own, invented by the artist reality. The multiplicity of creative experiments of the artist, using of the various materials and techniques, were realized into own unique style, in which the unstable structure of multicolored and multi-layered painting methods very sensually balance with moods of colors and forms.

 

He takes inspiration from nature and transforms ordinary objects onto abstract forms. He does participate in different International projects arts events (symposiums, festivals, biennales, group exhibitions).

 

His works are in private collections of Azerbaijan, Turkey, Germany, Czech, Portugal, Bulgaria, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Serbia, Tunis and other countries.
